From the very beginning, God has cared about feet.
Even a casual glance through Scripture shows
that He cared for the feet of the Israelites,
giving them shoes that would not wear out for 40 years.
When Jesus lived on Earth, He took the time
to heal the feet of those who could not walk.
God is concerned as well, with the places our feet go.
He wants us to know how to walk with Him:
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105
He wants our feet to have strength:
He maketh my feet like hinds' feet:
and setteth me upon my high places.
II Sam 22:34
He wants us to remember that we can not walk in our own strength:
For the LORD shall be thy confidence,
and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Prov. 3:26
He knows that we will fall:
When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
Psalm 94:18
So He reminds us how to avoid the things that will trip us up:
My son, walk not thou in the way with them;
refrain thy foot from their path.
Prov. 1:15
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Prov. 4:27
Ponder your feet today.
Where are you headed?
Put your sights on Jesus and go forward.
He is interested in your feet!
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
Prov. 4:26
I love this, Sharon! I've never thought of tying these wonderful Scriptures together, and your photos were a great companion to the verses. Good things to ponder.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a foot photographer fan, but this was good.
