Jesus - My Peace

If you look to the world, who frequently cries 'Peace!' it is easy to see they
have not the answer, though it is the heart-cry for every soul that has ever lived.
I longed for peace myself, even as a young girl.
Mercifully, I heard the truth early and put my faith in the One who is peace.

Jesus, without spot, was delivered up for my offences- and my sins were many.
Yet, for just one sin of one man Jesus would have taken the death penalty!

Oh, the glory, He not only died in my stead, He was raised again for my justification.

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace through our Lord Jesus Christ." Rom. 5:1

"My sin- oh, the bliss of this glorious thought-
My sin, not in part, but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul.

It is well with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul."

  1. Great blogs, great photos as always. I love how you portray Christ though the beautiful creation, with the scripture verses added. Love always.

  2. I think those are dogwood blossoms--am I right? My beloved maternal grandma, who has been with the Lord since 1986, had a dogwood tree in her backyard. She used to say that the blossoms represented the Cross, with the wounds of Jesus Christ on each of the four points of Cross where He bled and died.

    1. Yes, I found these Dogwood blooms in the woods near where I live. They are one of my favorite flowering trees.
