A Feast for Winter Eyes

I am not certain what the name of this beautiful flowering bush is
but I am certain that the colors I see flung about the earth these days
were meant, by God, to soothe the eye after a cold, barren winter.

The growing warmth and days of sunshine have coaxed out bits of color here and there,

and a full riot in other places.

God certainly cannot be accused of being boring or stuffy.

His mercy and kindness in the season changes
remind me to allow Him to craft His work in my own life;
reminds me to be patient with others-
give them time to grow.

And as I allow Him to paint His broad and gentle colors in my own life
perhaps a weary soul will look at me and be encouraged- refreshed.

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Psalm 96:1

  1. Sharon,
Your work really blesses my heart. I wish I had a really great camera :) You should publish a devotional with your photographs and text. What a Creator we have!
    Multiplied blessings to you~

  2. Sharon.
It seems the flowering tree is some type of cherry tree. ?? Check it out here. https://www.google.com/search?q=photos+of+cherry+blossom+trees+in+Nicholson+GA&client=firefox-a&hs=otd&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:

  3. So lovely to see these photos of spring "springing up all over" your area. It is still cold and barren here in Indiana, but I know the new season will come--God promised it would!

  4. Laura,
It is actually really cold today with a few snow flurries but his promise is still in the way! The tulips are currently blooming!
